ZSE Drive opens the first charging hub for electric cars. It is located in the heart of Bratislava
On Landerová Street, in the middle of Bratislava's downtown, the first charging City Hub from ZSE Drive has been available since July 3. It combines a lucrative city center location, ecological charging, modern design and sustainability. ZSE Drive customers can drink a coffee or buy a small snack here while taking advantage of the summer promotion - the first or largest charge during the entire month of July is free.
Electromobility is an integral component of ecological transformation, and the company Západoslovenská energetika with its ZSE Drive brand is part of it. Electric cars will increasingly dominate the roads. Fossil fuel cars are taking a back seat and more and more countries are committing to phase them out. Lowering production costs of batteries significantly accelerates the growth of the number of electric vehicles.
Owners of electric cars can currently charge their electric cars at home, at work or use public charging stations, typically in shopping centers or around food chains. The goal of ZSE Drive is to provide users with as many charging options as possible, in the widest possible range of options. City Hub Landereva is a significant step towards achieving this vision.
In terms of layout, it offers a lucrative, easily accessible location in the busy city center. It is just a step away from the most famous companies, shopping centers and headquarters of important companies in Bratislava. It can also impress with the unique modern appearance of the glazed rounded facade, which in terms of shape and quality of execution follows the character of the Sky Park project. It will offer ten charging points with chargers from renowned manufacturers Alpitronic and Alfen. There will be six ultra-fast DC charging points with a power of up to 400 kW and four AC charging points with a power of 22 kW. Thanks to innovative charging, the station can charge new vehicles up to 80% in just 18 minutes, future models of vehicles at full power of 400 kW even in 10 minutes. All electric cars will be charged with 100% electricity from renewable sources. AC chargers are additionally prepared for inductive charging. At the same time, City Hub Landererova has an advanced system called dynamic load management, which ensures optimal distribution of consumption (power) of the entire hub.
In addition to customer satisfaction, the goal of the project is also to ensure sustainability. It is designed in accordance with the philosophy of ecological sustainability with the ambition of achieving the level of LEED Gold certification. The roof has a vegetative character, contains greenery that is easy to water and maintains moisture. At the same time, it connects the lines of the big city with natural greenery. The project's intelligent solutions minimize energy demand, water consumption, regulate energy for heating in winter and, conversely, cooling in summer, and advanced technologies maintain indoor air quality.
Not only the building is an energy innovation. The charging of electric cars is ensured by electricity produced by Slovakia's hydroelectric power plants, which ZSE Drive uses for the needs of its chargers and charging stations.
In addition to charging stations, Landererova will also find an innovative ecological solution from Ecotank in the City Hub. It ensures the filling of washer fluid in a similar way to classic refueling, i.e. without the need for a plastic container. "We are looking forward to the new cooperation with ZSE Drive. It combines our efforts for sustainability and environmental protection. The long-term goal of Ecotank is to reduce the ecological footprint and contribute to the recovery of our planet. That is why we highly value partner relationships based on the same values. Since our establishment, we have saved hundreds of tons of plastic waste all over the world. With each new collaboration, our planet will be hundreds of kilograms lighter. At the same time, the location of Ecotank at the charging station on Landererova shows that ecological solutions can be simple and ingenious," commented the CEO of Ecotank, Juraj Saktor, about the cooperation.
There are 489 charging points in the current ZSE Drive network throughout Slovakia. 209 DC charging points have a power of 50-400 kW and 280 AC charging points offer power from 11 to 22 kW. In addition, another 120 ultra-fast charging points should be added in 2024.
In 2018, ZSE Drive managed to build the first ultra-fast charging station (350 kW) in the Central European region. In the following years, as ZSE Drive, it was the first of the E.ON group to start using advanced power management (DLM) services of gridX for both AC and DC charging and subsequently became the first provider of charging in apartment buildings on its own infrastructure in Slovakia. This year, ZSE Drive opened the first location for trucks with a power of 400 kW in the Slovak Republic, and from 2018 until today, it has continuously maintained the title of the largest provider of ultra-fast charging in Slovakia.
ZSE Drive will gain another championship with its latest initiative, when it becomes the first operator of the City Hub urban concept in the Slovak Republic with the most powerful charging for passenger vehicles with a power of up to 400 kW. City Hub Landererova will thus become a location with the most modern method of electric charging
