Project
The brand new office of Orange Business Services in the Mercury City Tower, Moscow, Russia is designed by T+T Architects. Orange moved from two earlier offices in opposite parts of Moscow to the Mercury City Tower. More than 500 employees of Orange Business Services now occupy two floors in the building where the office reflects the focus on high technologies.
Solution
Open workspaces become increasingly popular all over the world and the interior design and lighting solution was made to support team work and new level of collaboration supporting the corporate culture of Orange. Here the customer has built a distinct functional process in which the tasks go through a kind of "assembly line" of departments and specialists.
The office is divided into working areas and points of informal communication evenly spread over the entire area of the floors. At these points the architects set the accents based on the form of circle in a particular embodiment.
Every office has a central place of concentration of the design. In this case it was not only the reception and the main entrance zone on the 11th floor, but the adjoining relaxation area with a unique internal staircase.
Workspaces are made contrastingly – in the orthogonal forms and monochrome materials. Part of the informal communication points were integrated in the centre of some departments showing the inextricable workflow and the process of dialogue, discussion.
